Making Knots 2 WPN 1604

Description

king Knots is a collection that draws inspiration from the installation of the same name by Gian Paolo Venier and Giorgio Biscaro exhibited in the LeStanze showroom during the Milan Design Week 2024. The installation was conceived and created in support of Made51, the humanitarian program to support artisans fleeing war territories, and the UNHCR United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The works of the artisans, mainly weaves and yarns, are in fact transformed by Venier and Biscaro into pom-poms and braids, and then into coverings for a furnishing accessory, an ADJ Style vase, a colorful wallpaper with an abstract subject and some decorative works created with fine art techniques. The wallpapers and paintings find their commercial placement within the new Spaghetti Wall 2024 collections; the profit obtained from the sale of these items will be donated by the company to support United Nations humanitarian projects for refugees.
